Problem with engine (oil)

To start off my Porsche 1985 (first half) 944 hasn't been running in a while. I started it up after about a 6 month break to take it to get the tank filled up, and I did a burnout a few blocks from my house. Lets just say lots of smoke, only most of it was from oil.

It hadn't been running for a long time, it had only been on for about 2 min, and I probably did a serious burnout on a turn. The engine didn't die, but I ran out of oil before I could make it two blocks. After my burnout there was so much smoke behind me I couldn't see anything. I filled her back up with oil and she made it home fine, but she's still leaking oil all over the place. I'd say she's dumping about half a quart of oil a minute under the engine.

I don't know anything about cars. My friend says he thinks I blew a head gasket. When we opened her up there was coolant in the heads. My grandpa mentioned something about an oil pump.

Anyway, I bought a brand new head gasket set, an OEM timing belt setup, and a working head out of a 84 944 with 63k miles. Mildly ported and polished. Any suggestions?

Well chances are unless you drained the block (coolant) before you pulled the head, the coolant from the head passages drained into the cylinders making it look like coolant in the cylinders. It would not have been hard to figure out exactly where the oil was coming from when the engine was running if it was coming out that hard. Hopefully you didn't pull the head for nothing.
