Does anyone know where I could find a Radiator Cooling Fan for a 1985.5 944?

Try Ian Riley at Ian's Europarts, 954-968-3766. Tell him I told you to call, it might help. :) Is just one fan not working, or is it the cooling fan switch (mounted on the drivers side of the radiator) thats the problem? Describe whats going on, I might be able to save you some trouble and hassle.

I was replacing my belts and look at the Cooling Fan, and only one motor was working and the second motor on the pass side was blown and the wiring was cut up. I am trying to find a Cooling Fan and my boss said he knows where a wiring harness is for em.

How do you mean "blown"? If the wiring is cut, it could well be that the fan itself is good, right? Its not that often that the fans go bad, and most of the time that the fans aren't working, its usually either the cooling fan switch or a wiring problem. Having said that, I did have to replace one of the fans in my 968, it was howling/screeching very loudly.

By blown I mean the motor doesnt even work. So I only have one fan motor working, hence only one fan working. Overheating is very possible. So I need to find a new one or a used one.

You will definitely want your fans working properly. Its one of the keys to keeping your 944 running for a long time, as those engines do not tolerate overheating at all. Too much heat can take out the head gasket or crack the block pretty quickly.

I guess I still don't have a clear understanding of how you know your fan needs replacing. You say that the fan isn't turning on, but you also have cut wiring, right? Unless you have swapped it with the one that is working, you really can't be sure its not an electrical problem. Fans don't cost too much tho (used ones anyway), so you won't be out much, one way or the other.

Easy European Auto Salvage will have it - they only sell used Porsche parts. Parts Heaven will also have what you need. You might want to get a new aux. fan switch as well They are cheap and eventually go bad anyway so you might as well replace it while you are down there. Why did someone hack up the wiring the old wiring? A bad relay could have made it run all of the time.

Only one non-running fan usually means either a bad fan motor, fuse (#10 or #15) or slow speed resistor. Anyway, these guys will have what you are looking for and pretty cheaply too. I'd like to hear how you make out with this - it sounds like someone tried to fix the problem in the past and gave up.
