Rims on a Honda

Hey everybody.. just wanted to pass this on and see if I could stur up some contraversy, lol.. So my roomate just bought my Phone dial rims, and is putting them on his Honda Civic, for no other reason that for bragging rights. Ohm and yes it can be done, we jsut researched all the parts needed, should be interesting. I'll post a photo when we get that all worked out.

This makes me very sad.

Also, with the Honda Civic being FWD and the Porsche having larger rear wheels than front... won't that look somewhat strange? And detract from function?

haha

Yeah it should be very interesting. Actaully though, the rims I'm selling him are the same front and back. I managed a good deal on some Cup rims, those should look really nice on my car :)

What hub is he using? I can't believe his honda has the same 5x130 bolt pattern.

Well, it took a bit of searching, but it turns out that H+R makes and actual 4*100 to 5*130 1 piece conversion plate. Its a very tight clearance but I guess there is just enough room to do it. He's going to extend the fender flare to match the wider tire as well. It's his money, but I think all the crazy looks he's going to get jsut might be worth it, lol.... Anyways, that actually brings up a question about the new rims I'm getting. I"m putting a set of the CUP rims that were on another 944, and I was wondering, will this fix the ofset issue with upgrading my NA brakes to the Turbo brakes?? I think it will, anybody have an answer for that??
