stupid question

Hi I have 2 silly questions.

1 Does the 944 NA have an EGR valve? If so where is it?
2 Where would I find the Crankcase Vent if there is one, and where does it connect to?

Thanks

RE: stupid question

1. No
2. Under the intake. The oil air seperator has a hose that runs back to the J boot in a round about way.

Hmm, well how about another question then?

I have heard of many who add a Venturi Bypass. What are the pros and cons of doing this. I am correct in thinking that the purpose of the Venturi is to enhance the vacuum to the brake Booster while under idle. If so would deleting it just make it take a little more peddle effort (stregnth) with the benefit being one less vacuume connection to worry about. Actually it would be from a total of 6 connections to just 2 then?

I'm asking all these vacuum questions because I'm rerouting some of the vacuume lines and replacing them so I really want to make sure I understand what everything does and how it works before I go fiddling around with things.

Thanks a bunch once again.

RE: stupid question

Well, the 944NA does not have the complex venturi system that the 944 turbos do. They simplified that mess with the turbos in 1989 and newer, which is what the guys who have the 86-88 turbos update to. I wrote a word document a long time ago for the turbo guys that is floating around on most of the forums on how to do this update. Basically it takes a mess of about 10 hoses under the intake, and simplifies them into about 4. Since you have the NA, there really is no update for you.
