stupid questions from a corvette guy recently converted to a 944

hello everyone. i just introduced myself in the new member forum. i just purchased my first porsche. a 1989 944 2.7L with 37000 original miles. please bare with me, i will ask some dumb questions in the near future.

today my stupid question is: 944's tend to "sqwat" in the rear a little while they sit, and quite a bit when driving them.it looks goofy like the 80's model 300zx's did. is there such a thing for 944 as a "spring rubber" similar to what they use in nascar tostiffin the rear suspension? thanks

i'm not trying to put a "lift kit" on a 944, but it would look better to me if the rear end didn't sag.

p.s. the suspension is new all around.

Switching to Bilstein HD shocks in the rear will get rid of most of the squat under acceleration, and help a bit with the ride height.

You can also raise and lower the height about 3/4" using the eccentric bolt on the rear spring plates. It may be that the bolt is at it's lowest setting currently.

Other than that, to raise the height, you need to reindex the rear torsion bars which is a major PITA. You have to drop the rear suspension carrier down, then it is a trial and error until you find the right height. Last time I did it, I had to R&R the rear suspension 3 times to get it perfect.
