Depends on what you are looking for. Stock, Sport, coil-overs?

what would the advarage price on nice sport and coils be?

RE: suspension

Coil overs would be expensive, but you can get a set of front struts off an early car with the removable inserts, and put in bilstein inserts for about 140 each, plus about 100 each for the rears and have a hell of a suspension for very little trouble. Or you could just get the stock Koni's, though it will probably be more expensive. Coil-overs will run well over a thousand, probably closer to two, but unless you are doing some hard core tracking of the car, you probably don't need to go that extreme. When you do the struts, you will want to replace all of the mounting rubber, such as the bearing/bushing assembly, etc. All that stuff runs about 80 bucks or so for the 2 sides.

if i manage to go for the blistein inserts, is it a hard job to do alone or is easy enough for a non machenic to do, i havent really work on cars since this is my first, but is it hard to do

RE: suspension

If you haven't worked on cars before, i would have someone else do it for you.

definately have someone do it for you if you've never tried before. I'm looking to upgrade my 944's shocks etc... first up I've had new front wishbones fitted (actual Porsche UK dealer parts), the transformation is incredible, I would recomend you do this as part of any upgrade
