Turn Signal Switch ??

I have a 1984 944 with a problem.. The turn signals do not blink. I replaced every bulb in the rear tail lights, and in the front (minus the headlights) but still nothing. I replaced the turn signal relay but again, nothing. The lights light up and flash when the hazards are on, and the the side lights will stay on if i turn off the car with the turn signal engaged either left or right.

So what I'm afraid of is that it might be the turn signal switch... Any opinions? And if you do think that it could be the turn signal switch might anyone know of some places to find good deals for buying them? I found a website that says they are 350.00 for the porsche turn signal switch, but the same site has ones for audi and vw that look exactly the same for 57.00 ????

Any comments would be appreciated, Thanks!

Oh, and if the switches on both sides are connected, i notice that my mist mode for wipers dont work and sometimes when i turn on my brights the wipers engage... I don't know if that even has anything to do with any problem at all though.

i went to a salvage yard that had an 84 porsche but when i asked if they had a turn signal switch they said they could only sell me the whole steering column and that it would be $150 bucks. Is this worth a try or are there some better alternatives that i could try first?
