2000 boxster s HELP!!!

hi :D

last october I bought a 2000 boxster s with 23k.....I absolutey LOVE it!!! No problems at all until.....now....
SOMETIMES when I start it up a big plume of white smoke comes out of the exhaust...not all the time....I had it checked and they said there was nothing to worry about, its pretty normal, could be condensation (but it happens when its warm out too, and also when the engine is not cold) they said if it was blue or black there would be something to worry about....HELP....I think I'm going to take it to another dealer for a second opinion, I dunno.....THANK YOU in advance for any opinions!!!! this is my first porsche, I've always had chevys....I know chevys! lol

Completely normal with the boxster. With the orientation of the engine, when the car sits for awhile, oil is able to seep past the valves and into the exhaust. When you start it, it burns out of the exhaust for a few seconds. Should be gone within a few seconds. If you are getting smoke while driving, that is a different story.

RE: 2000 boxster s HELP!!!

It has happend about 3 times in the past 2 weeks...Only when I really get on the car, does the cabin get a little smokey for a few seconds only, and it literally smells like bleach in the car, then it all goes away.

The car drives normally, and the temp is normal as well..

Any ideas?
