My 2003 boxster ignition key went through the x-ray machine at the airport the other week and ever since then it has a red light glowing and it won't remotely unlock the doors now and after 2 weeks with the light glowing it looks like the battery in the key has gone flat. I do have a good 2nd key, so i'm not stuck.
I think the problem is that it has got un-synchronized with the car now; so a couple of questions....
1) I need to put a newbattery in the key and I'm not sure how to get into it.
2)I need to get it synchronized again.
Any ideas howto fix that?

 

Flat blade screwdriver will pop the head open so you can replace the battery. To get it synchronized again though, it needs to go to the dealer.
