Default C0NVERTIBLE TOP MECHANISM LUBE

I have an '08 Boxster. Should the Convertible Top mechanism be lubed? If yes, please recommend a lube.

Thank you

Hello tinchao,

I really don't think this as a common problem or happening when the weather is cold. Some people notice noises on their car coming from the top and this is just some ways to solve the noise problem. Or the person that started this thread is asking if the top should be lubed and how.
quote:
Generaly all metal parts need lubrication often and the rubbers need silicone for not be destroyed from (cold -hot) deference and not listen to rubber noise during is attached on the metal body during drive .
