check eng light on after installing a 2002 3.2 in a 1999 boxster
 

ok so i have to reach out to my german car enthusiats for help.i bought a 1999 boxster off my old boss who sold the dealership, a 1999 boxster mint with 98000 miles cheap for 5 grand. the catch? it was blowing oil so they(the guys i worked with back 4 years ago) installed a 2002 boxster s motor cause the original was blown, after installing they couldnt get the engine light off.long story they put the 2.5 intake on and redrilled the heads to fit since it was offset(idiots).i have purchased,refitted/redrilled the correct holes and installed the correct intake back on.i also had to retrofit the cable driven throttle body since the 2002 is drive by wire i believe and it is a lot smaller.the car runs fine but the eng lite is on and setting cam sensor codes.my question, if anyone has an answer is 1 is there a correct throttle body to fit a 3.2 that is cable driven and can the 2.5 ecm be recoded to read the cam sensors properly. i am an audi/ vw tech so i am very good at figuring things out but dont have any porsche scannersand dont want to just start buying throttle bodies and try matching them up and the nearest porsche dealer is a hike,,,thx for any help gentleman
