Check engine light
I have a 1999 Boxster and I have had a problem with a check engine light staying on and my mechanic can’t figure out the problem. The diagnostic trouble codes I’m getting are P1123 and P1125. The first thing my mechanic did was replace a vacuum hose that had a small leak; this did not fix the problem, the check engine light came back on. The second thing he did was replace a fuel hose he thought was leaking, but this did not fix the problem either, the check engine light came on again. Please help!!! |

RE: Check engine light
Hi, thanks for your response, I'm having another issue however. My mechanic replaced the Mass Air Flow and I drove it about 50 miles and the check engine light came on again. I'm no longer getting the same codes (diagnostic trouble codes P1123 and P1125), when he tried to read it no codes showed up - he said it had re-cycled. I'm having trouble with the idle, the car is stalling out. Any suggestions as to what this might be?

RE: Check engine light
Sounds like there is a big intake leak. Make sure he reconnected the MAF sensor electrical connector, and that the vacuum lines to the fuel pressure regulator are attached.
