I Just boughta boxster it has 52 K on it it just came back from the 60K service that I had done early and they said the car is fine however this check engine light keeps comming on
so my questions to the GURU's does it turn off on its own after a while ?
Why is this happening?
is it a sensor ?
is this a problem or quirk for this model and milage?
Please help a fellow Porschster!

Hello Jay

If a warning light comes on (check engine) that means you have a problem. It most likley a sensor problem but the only way to find out is to take it to a Porsche workshop ASAP before it does anymore damage.

I would take it back to the dealership that serviced your car... probably just a loose connection causing a vacuum type leak. Don't drive it if the lights blinking... steady is OK.
