HELP PLEASE!!! Can't Open Hood
 

I have an 03' boxter s. Water damage from katrina.. it was very lightly damaged and almost nothin is touched. Problem is that the battery was dead for a few months and when trying to open the hood to get to the battery.. it wont open. Ive done the 'emergency' way of putting the positive on the fuse and the negative on the door as a ground and nothing. A few clicks from the electronics but thats it. Now, I can't find the starter on it cause I was going to try and putting the battery right to the starter and go that way... but I can't find a DAMN thing! Its frustrating and making time that I could be driving it... evaporating for stupid chit that the manufacturer should have made a manual release... stupid german cars..

Any and all help on this topic would GREATLY be appreciated.

There should be a cable on the inside of the front bumper cover. You can probably take the lower cover off the car and dig around in there til you find it.

Put the car in the air, pull the front tires, and wheel well liners and you should be able to find it. Sometimes it is on the drivers side, sometimes on the passenger side. Should be a silver cable. Most often it runs through the passenger side headlamp, and out behind it, but I have seen it on the drivers side as well.
