Horn location
 

I have a 2003 Boxster and would like to change the horn. Where is the horn mounted and is it an easy switch? I am looking for a higher pitched horn, more European sounding.

The horns are located behind the condenser on the passenger side. You will have to do at least a partial front bumper cover removal to get the low pitch horn out.

Thanks Doc! Is a partial front bumper removal tricky? I'm pretty handy just don't want to ruin anything on the car. Any online schematics available,I know you post a lot of step by step instructions for other repair jobs, that I could follow.

No, it doesn't take long, and is mostly just push pin clips and torx screws. You can try removing the passenger side fender liner and lower section and see if you can reach the horns to get them out, but I don't know if you can or not.
