power window problem
 

have a 97_boxster in top shape with less than 20k mi. a couple mos. back, noticed that the power window(s) would automatically lower a few inches while driving. at this point, both windows can only be lowered -- they will not raise until both have been lowered while driving (not bad unless it's raining). sounds like there's some sort of solenoid device in the passenger door that clicks and then all be back to normal in 5-10 mins. wondering why and started to note that windows became inoperable while passing through intersections with the electronic sensors buried under the pavement...? is this my imagination; is this a problem that's symptomatic of the early models and been solved, or a rare electronic quirk with my vehicle only? any advice is very much appreciated. regards, craig f.

Sounds like a regulator or wiring problem. Electrical gremlins are always fun to figure out. Try to reset the window. When the window is all the way up, push the up button for that window and hold for a few seconds. IIRC this will reset the window system.
