i bought a 2002 porsche boxster S, when does the rear spoiler pop out? only after certain consistent speed? thanks

 

Yes, at a certain speed. I can't remember what it is with the boxster, but IIRC with the 996 it is at 70-75mph

 

The manual says it goes up at 75 and then retracts at about 50 mph. On the driver side footwell there is a toggle for manual operation. But IMHO it's more of a functional piece than an asthetic one. But the one below is a thing of beauty!
