I called the local dealer to see how much the 20k service will cost on my 06 Boxster S. $600.00 ! I asked them what was included and it's an oil and filter change and alot of tighten this inspect that. I requested that they only change the oil. They said that it would void my warranty if I didn't pony up for the full "service". Anyone else just get an oil change at 20k without all the "extras"?

 

Take it to an independant shop and have them do the 20k service. Should only be a couple hundred bucks. It is a lot of inspection items.

 

Hi, I am in the same chair too, 06 Boxster S. My dealer will charge me over $300 for an oil change, they call it a min. services. I contract to local PCA club. Ask them who else they recommended beside the dealer. They referred me to a auto shop in Honolulu, the owner has been working on German car only for the last 15 years or so. So, I took it down, save me about $100. He use all Porsche parts, I am planning to do my next 15k miles service with him and he will stamp the book for me. But in Hawaii, the 20K service will cost about $500 to 600. I guess everything is expensive here. :-)
