Default Window Issue

Passenger side window fails to lower (1/2 inch) when opening the door and therefore causes impact with edge of top during opening ( and of course during closing as well). Raises and lowers during all other times. When I click door handle I can easily push the window down the 1/2 inch to keep it from impacting.

Any quick solutions other than replacing the window motor or regulator??

Does it fail when opening from the inside, or from the outside? If from the outside, then you need to replace the door latch mechanism. I have a post on my blog that explains the window drop failures.

Default window

It appears to be both. I think I can hear the mechanism when the door latch is pulled from inside or outside but the window does not move to clear the roof margin

Oh ok. Well that sounds like the regulator then if you can here it triggering. Not much you can do other than replace the regulator.
