2004 Cayenne S Sensor Cluster
 

I have a 2004 Cayenne S which has has a continual problem of the "Oil Level Monitoring Failure Workshop" warning light appearing. I just had the car in for it's 80K service and asked them to check into the problem. They verified the senor itself was ok. They advised me that I need to replace the "sensor cluster" to the tune of $1,690.00. Can anyone advise me on what the replacement part number is for this part and whether this is a do-it-yourself project (sounds like most of the cost was tied up in the part itself which leads me to believe it's fairly easy to replace). Any guidance would be appreciated -- if I can't replace it for less than $1700 I guess I'll have to live with the annoyance.
