Default Airbag Fault?

About an hour ago, me and my wife were driving home and the center LCD (where the speedo is) flashed “AIRBAG FAULT.” We then noticed the little airbag person light turn on and stay on. We pulled over and turned the vehicle off. After a few minutes, I started the truck again and the warning came right back on. We looked through the manual and it said to have it serviced immediately. To have it towed to the dealer. WHAT THE HELL!
Has anyone had this issue? The truck has 80k miles and it is the V8. It has never been in an accident.

More than likely a bad seat belt receptacle. Very common in the 996's, I am a sure it is probably the same issue in the Cayenne.

I dropped it off this morning at the dealer. About 30 minutes later as I was driving home in the loaner, I got a call from the adviser. He tells me that my airbag went bad. They need to replace the whole unit. I asked how did it go bad? His response was that sometimes things go bad, who knows why. I asked if Porsche would cover it due to the fact that it has never been in an accident or even bumped, and this is something that I could not have done.

Airbag is one of the most used safety tools in a car and there are many popular automobile companies which provides the facilities of Airbags in their cars.
