Sold my Cayenne POS!

I apologize to the faithful, but I just couldn't stand my 08 Cayenne Turbo any longer. Transmission never did operate properly, slamming in and out of gear at each auto shift. Plus, the dealership service center leadership were nothing but trouble. No respect, no help and all "...we feel the problem, but that's just the way it is...". I also found the SUV to ride somewhat poorly, at least compared to my prior BMW X5 4.8iS. "Tipsy", I'd have to call it. And the few exterior pieces which fell off..... All too much.

I still have my 07 997 C4S Cab, which has been flawless. So I'm not completely un-Porsche!
Replaced the turbo with an plain-ole Ford F150 and added a Ferrari F430 to the collection.

RE: Sold my Cayenne POS!

Sorry about this problem...sounds like you had a real lemon. I have a 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo that has been fantastic. Just crossed 40K miles. Taken it offroad and use it to tow a car trailer. Like you, I owned a X5 before this car, and the Cayenne is hands down better. But then again I did not own a lemon. You will love the F430. Fantastic car...test drove it, along with a Lambo Gallardo and Ford GT...fell in love with the Ford...what can I say. Hope you have better luck next time!

RE: Sold my Cayenne POS!

Thanks. Had an '06 Ford GT too. It was OK, but I prefer the F430, given the spider version. I really love the open top cars a lot more than the coupes. I suspect the GT was a tad quicker, but the Ferrari seems to ride and handle better. And the engine sound!!!!!!!!!!!!
Safe driving.
