Interesting that you're comparing the Honda 2000 to the 911 and Boxter. Nevertheless, I would recommend the Boxster for you budget.

Something similar happened to me last year minus the oil pressure warining light. Since it's not stalling at idle and only at acceleration, it is possible for the problem to be the mass air flow...

Depending how many miles you have on the engine, you might get a couple hundred bucks for someone looking for a spare parts engine.

I have a few places out here in Ct that you can get it up, take a few tight turns and then take it back down to the speed limit. No houses, nobody riding bikes, just open road.

I took her up to 100 a couple of times and then back off. It was nice just to be out and about. I do all of my fast driving on the track, usually once a month.

Good chance the C/O (the fuel distributor adjustment) will need to be checked and reset, and that is likely the cause of the backfiring you’re getting. You'll need to do this with a C/O machine as...
