Hi, I am a new owner (Black/Black C2), and want to upgrade/add to my CDR023 - What I'd like to do is integrate my iPod, and also have the ability to plug in an aux device (after market XM radio). I am having trouble finding compatible products. I have heard about the Dension Ice Gateway 500; but other than that not much else...are there other options?A local (dealer recommended) installer wants $699 for the unit and another ~$300 to install it...I have also found that Dension product at http://bumperplugs.com for $475...and then I could find an installer..But want to rule out any other viable options first. First I am going to suggest an aftermarket radio that will replace the junk head unit in there already. It is a simple install and straight forward. by the time you try and add all the crap you want to it, you will be still left with a pile of junk that is trying to reproduce music. Plus it would most likely be cheaper then ordering up a dension unit that won't work anyways.

Alpine or Kenwood, good units are about $350 retail

Second, shopping around for a shop to install someone else's product cheaply... your vehicle is going to get violated! Find a good quality high end shop that specializes in Porsche's. and don't be cheap about it when they tell you it is going to cost you how much it is.... you pay money for the good people to do it... otherwise some reject will be in your car that could care less about it, because he gets paid no benefits and makes minimum wage

Thanks much for the advice. I am pretty particular with my vehichles, so will be getting references, etc. from anyone who touchesmyCarrera Also had ruled out doing anything to change my car's stock options...I may rethink that, as I can imagine a nice installation, and could keep the CDR32 for re-sale, or whatever. Hmmm, am thinking now - all that research to find the right in dash option. Thanks again!
