Default Changing oil

hi everyone
I have just bought a 06 Cayenne and the owner say that I only have to change oil every 10k miles. I have never had german car before and always change my oil every 3k for my infinity. I wonder if that is OK for me to change oil every 10k miles
Also can I take to Jiffy Lube or something like that to change oil or it has to be Porsche dealer.

Thanks

First, don't let anyone but a dealer or an independant porsche shop change your oil. Don't let the monkeys at Jiffy Lube touch your car. The PIWIS is also required to reset the service indicator, and no oil change shop will have that. Though Porsche recommends 10k and sometimes more on oil changes, we still recommend every 7500 or once a year.

Definitely do not go to jiffy lube. Stick with the dealer or an authorized Porsche service location.

There is no harm in changing oil after every 10 k .This will provide proper maintenance to your car but I will recommend you to perform this activity with a registered dealer or an agency so that no illegal activity will be done with your car.

10k miles seems a long distance for changing of oil. I suggest you to consult some other mechanic too about the performance of your car.
