Why would my timing belt break in one place?

Why would my timing belt break in one place?
It's the second time that the timing belt has cut while we are driving our 1979 Porsche 924. This time we just changed it and the next day it cut while we were just iddling(sp?) the car. Would anyone have any clue what would cause this? Thanks!
