i am looking to buy an old 1987-1991 porsche to modify and build to make race ready as a hobby car and my primary drive car. i have a little less than 20k to spend and was looking at the old 1989 911 turbos or the 944. i was curious if anyone has any wisdom about these two cars and which would be a better one to have a both a project car and a primary car as well. i was leaning more towards the 911turbo.

 

You won't get into a 1989 930 for under 20k, unless it is very ratted out. That was the first year the G50 was used in the 930, and it is very desirable.

 

dude if your that poor and want a fast car for the money you have, go for a 2004 mustang gt! 20k is a really small amount of money when looking for a porsche. 30k will get you something nice, plus 944's are introductory front engine POS cars. IMO!
