Default 911 C4S in winter

I live in Toronto, Canada and am thinking about buying a 2007 911 - C4S
My question is whether this really can be a 365 day a year car? I used to have a highly modified and lowered 928 and no way could that be driven in winter - but of course it's a very different car.
We certainly get snow in Toronto, and there will be a few days when it can't be used - but the driving is mostly on snow packed but cleared roads when you get out of the City

If it is realistic, what are the best winter tires to use?

I would appreciate some feedback and advice from any snow-belt residents who have had good or bad experiences with their winter driving

We get quite a few days of snow here in Kansas each winter. The TT's get driven no matter how much snow is on the ground. Getting going is the easy part. Stop the fat pig is a different story, lol. Big fat tires don't like to grip snow and ice real well when trying to slow down. With some Blizzaks or some tire similar, you would probably get around alright.

Yup, tall skinnyblizzaks or something with alot of sipes on steel rims would work best. Toronto huh? I live in Windsor nowand I plan to drive my 996 year round cuz we're lucky if we get a day or two of snow per year. And that melts in 2 to 4 hours after it falls.

Not like my old home town in Winnipeg. I stored my 928 and drove an old Subaru for 6 months or more up there....
