I noticed that when my CD player is on, I will park, shut off the radio, and then get out of the car.....when I return and turn the radio back on, I am no longer on the same song as I was when i shut off the car. I may leave off on Track 3, and when I get back in my car after work, it might be on Track 9, for example.

This is occurring in my '08 997 S, but it also happens with a co-workers Cayenne.

Has anyone experienced this? When I call the service department, they had no idea what I was talking about.

 

This happened on my '04 Carrera up to when I traded it six weeks ago. I was never certain how it decided how far ahead to jump, but it seldom took up where I left off.
