Default 944 to a 968

Yesterday the girlfriend mentioned something about me having to get rid of my beloved 944. We have a 6 month old child and aparently having a second vehicle that doesn't have room for a car seat is a problem. So I was looking at other potential purchases and I've decided that I like the 968 coupes. I know little to nothing about the 968s other than its a 3.0L 4 cyl with a 6 sp manual. The one's I've been finding are about $12-15K with about 40-60K miles on the odo. Is there anything that needs to be looked at with these vehicles before I have a PPI done? I know the basics such as smokeing, body lines, and the such. Are the prices I'm finding fair? Also from the photo's I've seen it looks like they have the same interior as the 944's but it looks like the rear seats have alot more room, is this so? If they are about the same then I need to look elsewhere. Does anyone have good sports car that can fit a car seat? Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks for the help
Jake

Hi Jake, the interior in a 968 is the same size as a 944, but you don't need to get rid of your 944 for this reason as Porsche make a baby seat to fit the rear seats of the 944. I think it's called the "Prince"?

I don't know about the U.S. mate, but the PorscheShop here in little ol England can supply you with one. The Prince seat is from 9 months to 3 years (9kg-18kg) Then you can get the Zoom booster which is for 3.5 years to 12 years (15kg-25kg).

You could also try the Official Porsche Centres, as this is a genuine Porsche seat!

Yes, the interior of the 968 is almost identical to the 944. I thought the rear seats were child seats? Lol.

Yeah, I did have a child seat in my 944 until my kid reached about 3 years. After that she was big enough to sit in without.
