I have an 01 911 and when its idling its at the normal 3.5 oil presure level, but when i start driving it goes up to about 5 on the presure gauge. is it okay that it's about maxed out on the gauge? do i need a new oil gauge? Thanks for the help.

 

The gauge should increase as you increase in RPMS, and come down as you get closer to idle. That is normal operation.
