Default Looking for the Pros to weigh in

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifie....php?id=605362

Hello

I am looking to get a new car for my wife and I could really use some help from everyone here on this car I found.

Its low miles, clean and a color combo she really likes. Not sure though.

Please offer some suggestions when you can.

Even with the low mileage that's steep for a 98 Targa. Shop around on autotrader and cars.com. Don't limit yourself to the local area. If you find a nice one out of state and it passes the PPI and cafax, sometimes it's cheaper to fly out and drive it home. I wouldn't pay more than $35K for this Targa.

that's very steep for a 98. I agree with Hot911TT--shop around!

Yeah, the Kelly Blue Book on that car with it's options is only around $34K and it doesn't mention anything about an extended warranty. These guys are crazy asking $54K. The low mileage is impressive, but that's about it. Shop around and you'll find a better deal. For $54K you can get a nice 04 Targa.
