Default Panamera hybrid and V6 coming?

I thought the heresy of four doors was enough, especially after the whole diesel Cayenne debacle. But no, there's more on the way.

What are they doing to Porsche? Why not start a different brand for these vehicles?

Oh come on! You are old fashioned and unprogressive. Hybrids are more efficient -- for one thing they use regenerative braking to get about 20% more efficiency from the fuel, and if well done, like the Prius or Fusion, they just flat get better economy and performacne out of the fuel they use-- a hybrid ought to givbe more mileage and more performance off the line. Second, electrics provide so much torque that a good one will have much more than any gasoline-only car on the street: better around town driving. I salute Porsche for doing this.

On the other hand, the Panamera is so butt ugly I won't have one anytime soon, regardless of its powertrain. But simple non-hybrid turbo V8s? A thing of the past, in only a few years.
