Can anyone tell me what colors of dark blue and the code for the 2004 twin turbo 996? I know there was midnight blue metallic and a lapis blue pearl available for the Porsche, but I am unsure if they were available for the 996. Also unaware if there were any other dark shades of blue. Thank you very much.

 

Lapis blue metallic is 3A9.

Midnight blue metallic is 39W

The first set looks like Lapis blue metallic, but in the other pictures, the color looks like it has a green tint in it, which would rule out the midnight blue (or cobalt). It is definitely not Midnight or cobalt blue metallic.

Why I ask is because the initial painter screwed me over on the paint job with the color already down so I had to take it to another painter. The first painter was not reachable to find out what the color was ( the color asked for was off a 2004 996 twin turbo that had a beautiful deep blue - like in the first set of photos ). The second painter and I looked at color chips of the Porsche colors and came out with what you see now ( all the photos ). So basically Im just trying to figure out what color my car is now. Its been a year now and the second painter doesnt remember what coor he used ( bad on my part for not writing it down initially, this I know ).

EDIT: Im not camera savy, so excuse my ignorence, but ill try to describe the photos above. The first 2 photos where taken in my garage at night. Had the flourescent lights on above along with a set of halogen lights. The cameras setting was so that there was no flash, just used all the natural light, so theshutter stayed open longer. The rest of the photos were taken in the same manner, just using the natural sunlight, so the shutter speed was very fast. If thatll help any.
