I tried to put my window up a couple of days ago and it wouldnt go up. let it sit for a while and tried again, the window went up.worked fine for a couple of days and then it wouldnt go up, let it sit and tried again, nothing. removed passenger side window switch and installed in place of inop window. still nothing, removed door pannel and checked wiring, looks good. is there a relay i should know about?

 

Sounds like a bad switch to me.

 

Oops reread the message. Can you apply direct power to the motor to make it go up or down?

 

thanks for replying so quickly. I back probed the window motor harness with my power probe and the window motor was still inop, so its probably the window motor, provided there isnt a relay in this circuit. what do you think doc?

If the motor will not go up with direct power, then it is probably shot.
