I have a 2001 Twin Turbo 996, and I am experiencing heavy vibration & body rattle when reaching a high speed between 100mph-125mph (150kph-200kph). I checked my tires and balanced them, but the vibration still persists. Does anybody have any suggestions? Help!

 

Possibly a belt coming loose in the tire. How many miles are on the car? When was your last alignment done?

I would suggest checking the tires and suspension. Sometimes if some bushings are bad it will cause movement at high speeds...

 

That sounds a lot like my problem with my '79 911. The problem is right around the speed limit. It smooths out when I go faster, but appears around 62mph through 72mph. It got bad after I had the car lowered. Please let me know what you find out. I'll do the same. I have not changed tires yet.
