Does anyone know how to seperate the lens from the body of the headlight assembly? My clear front left lens is not so clear anymore. It seems to have a yellowish discoloration like it got too hot. Any ideas??

I had that same problem when I first bought my 911, which has the same headlights as your 986. I was told that you really can't take that assembly apart as it will ruin it,so I found a set of them on ebay that looked like new. They fit like a glove and no problems since.

This is just my opinion, but I think what makes them crack and turn that ugly yellow color is when people tryusing those high intensity bulbs, which maybe burn hotter?

You should check try Headlight Restoration Service ( www.hrslights.com ). I have used them on my 06 Cayenne, and my headlights look brand new. I hope this helps.
