I am new to this forum since I just purchased a (1989) 944 this afternoon. I have a great Owners Manual that talks about the electrical fan that remains on
after the engine is off until it reaches 189 F. What I find here is the fan remains on for a long period of time, even in cool air. The batter is being affected
or at least I feel it is going weak due to this excessive fan use.

Is there something here that I need to know about regarding the fan, the operation, the battery and the relays. I pulled out the master relay and it did stop
the fan.

Any suggestions here that might lead me in the right direction?

I would start by replacing the relay. That should take care of it.
