Default Gas tank won't fill

HELP!!!!

I have a 2001 carrera and i can not get the tank to fill...... I try to fill it and the gas just spews out of the filler neck. If i fill it at a trickle I can get 1/4 tank in there but it takes 15 minutes to do that....... Any ideas?????? Solutions????? maybe a check valve? maybe a vent tube blocked?

thanks

Yup, sounds like one of the check valves may be bad. Also there is a TSB, where one of the lines on the fuel sender can get in the way and block off the fill port on the inside of the tank. Basically it involves removing the sender unit, and securing the lines to the unit better.
