Default Guages

I have just purchased a 1990 carrera 2 and the fuel/oil level gauge has a cracked lense. The gauge works fine. Can I just replace the lense, or will I have to replace the entire gauge? I have checked out some of the parts houses and I can't find either the gauge or the lense. Any help on this question would be appreciated.

Also I have noticed that when I push the engine a little the oil level reads in the red. The oil level is full. I have been told that this is normal and I should not have any concerns as long as the preasure and temp gauges read OK. Could anyone confirm this for me.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Default RE: Guages

The oil level gauge is nothing to worry about, they are very inaccurate. Pressure and temp are by far more important that the level gauge. I would call north hollywood speedo & clock company and see what they can do for the gauge. It is just a drop in face, should be able to replace it if you find the right size.
