I have a 1991 C2 Cab,

just my luck, I went to put the top down on it the other day and the main support arm behind the passenger seat snapped in half.

It is a half inch thick metal bar so I don't know how it broke but that is besides the point.

I was hoping to get some direction as to whether or not I might find a used one or if anyone knows I can confidently weld it back together.

It is $2700 at porsche (ridiculous) and the car is a toy not a dream car.

Any ideas or input would be appreciated, Thanks!

 

I have seen them welded before, but have never tried personally.
