I want performance!
I Have a 1983, 944, 2,5. It is as standard as can be.
Our clubmembers are going to have 800m sprints in a little coastal town in October. Nothing serious but a big competition between the members themselves.
I heard through the grapevine that one of the members tuns his 944's fuel mixture screw 1.5 turns richer for the competition. Ok that I can also do but one of my friends recommend that I go and buy 25 litres of 102 octane petrol and use this as wel. On my car's fuelcap is a sticker that states "98 octane Minimum".
My question is will it damage my enjin or fuelsystem if I do that?
The second question is what else can I do to outrun my club rivals?

Also, keep in mind that 98 octane rating is a RON rating. I know the United states uses an RON+MON/2 rating, which is actually lower than the RON rating used in Germany and the rest of the world.
