Default performance mods on 911SC

I tried this question in the newcomers section but no luck. I've got a 12/79 911SC 5speed coupe. I run it on 98RON unleaded fuel. As far as I can tell it's stock standard. I've fitted a K&N air filter but that's about it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any performance mods I could do (on a tight budget). Would I benefit from a sports muffler or would I need to fit an entire system? Any help would be much appreciated. P.S. I'm in Australia.

If you want to see any gains (and are on a budget), your options are pretty limited. I would start with a set of SSI headers/heat exchangers and an SSI muffler. Gives the car a great sound.

Please excuse my ignorance but is SSI a brand or is it an abreviation? Sorry for the stupid questions. Cheers mate.
