Default Speed limit for each gear

Hi, I have a 06 Boxster S Trip. I want to find out if there is any speed limit on each gear? For example:
Gear 1 - 0 mile to x miles
Gear 2 x miles to x miles
and so on.
Or it does not matter, just keep stepping on it until it hit red line and it will shift.on
The reason I want to find out is because sometimes, I was doing about 70 miles the freeway in 5 gear, if I want to pass a car, can I shift down to 4 gearand speed it up? is there any limit? just don't want to cause any damage to theenginee.

Just note the speed at say 3000 RPMs in each gear. Then it's just simple math.

In the back of the Owner's Manula of my 04 Carrera there is a table of speed vs. RPM for each gear which essentially gives you top speed in each gear. Prosche being as consistent as they are I am sure there is one in your Owners Manual, too.

Hi, Lee, I found a Acceleration diagram which indicated the "km/h" vs the "S", it looks like the "speed"vs the time (in second) it also shows the gear from 1 to 6 which is for Manual transmission. Does not seems like your book which shows Speed vs RPM, but it does show the gears number. Please check if you book show "RMP" or "S". Thanks.
