Default baby seat for 996

We've got a bun in the oven (the first) and if I don't think quick it could mean the end of my Targa. Can anyone recommend a good infant seat for my Porsche - pref backseat? I am based in the UK. Someone recommended Quickfit - anyone know this outfit?

Waterdude,

I am in the same boat as you. After driving a Corvette ragtop for the last 15 years, my wife and I became pregnant with our first. I rationalized that with a kid on the way I would sell the two seater in place of a more pratical four seater. My purchase was a 99 996 C4. (Black on black 6 speed with aero-kit.)

My wife said I'd better buy the car now because I may not have the opportunity in the future. So I did. I brought the car home and she says, "Its nice," and "that wing thing on the back looks stupid." Ha ha. What can I say? She is not a car girl. She's not a flashy girl, but she did ask if she could drive it into work!

Anyway, I too am interested in finding out what car seat will fit in a 911. I'd rather buy one that will fit the P-car than one that is too big and will only fit her car.

Congrats!

I don't think you can get a full car seat in the back, but maybe a booster seat when your kid is older. I did it with my 90 911 Targa. A bit tight, but it worked.

Actuallythe boosters fit the worst. When you look at the bottom of the car seat, some have fully molded bases the width and depth of the seat, and some bases havewhat appear to be "feet" at the back of the seat. The ones with the "feet" fit. Keep in mind that if you leave them in and use them a lot there will probably be some rubbing along the interior finish on the window side. Best thing to do is bring the car to babies r us and fit it up.

Many of us fancy having baby seat cover after bringing a relatively better baby car seat. The reason to have it is the hip and attractive design that attracts you towards keeping it up with you. We need a better means of service provider than a baby car seat.
