Default Cabin Air filter location

Where is the cabin air filter located on a 996 and how often should it be changed?

Its in the front hood compartment. Remove the upper panel to the left of the battery and you will see it tucked under the windshield. Its a big sucker, so you can't miss it.

Hope this helps.

Cabin air filter is located in the front hood of the car and then the two clips that hold the battery cover down are removed. After that the 2 plastic covers present are removed following the passenger side Torx screw and simultaneously shifting the cover by gently pulling up on it.
