Cryogenic Treatment for Race Parts - Enhanced performance, durability, and longer life
Since 2001 The Cryogenic Institute of New England, Inc. has offered cryogenic treatment for auto and motorsport applications. The process involves gradually dropping the temperature of your parts to -300F. The parts remain at -300F for 24 hours. During this time major transformations take place in the micro-structure of the metal.
We have frozen brake rotorswhich result in 100% to 200% longer life. The brake rotors also warp less and do not crack like untreated rotors. Less brake fade will occur as well.
We have the capability to freeze enginesas big as a V8. By cryogenically treating an engine, residual stresses in the metal from the production process are relieved allowing for an improvement in hp. Failure from cracking is alleviated.
Treating Rear Endsallows for reduced wear allowing for longer life. Therefore, the rear end is less susceptible to chipped teeth.
Cryogenically Treating Transmissions offers many positive points. Gear failure and wear are significantly reduced as well as case cracking.
