Hello everyone, I've been reading since I put in my order for my 997, and now that I have it I have some questions for anyone that can give me any info. I have a new 997 S slate grey, I love the car.......My previous 4 cars have been BMW M3's and wow what a difference.........my only question is regarding a rattle sound I here occasionally when I hit rough bumbs, it seesm like it comes from the back, maybe the spoiler banging slightly...I don't know...I aksed the service manager, he test drove it, he sais he tightened the differential?????, I am not technical so I have no idea what he meant....anyway.....it is annoying, but if someone tells me it's normal I guess I will forget about it......I originally thought it was the exhaust pipes banging....Anyway..thanks for any info you can share...

 

Can't help with the rattle, but I have a question. I just came from the dealer were I am considering placing an order for an '06 Carrera. They won't budge off the MSRP. Won't even throw in the floor mats! Did your dealer negotiate at all with you? They say the demand is high and they can't even deliver a car until late sep/early oct. What was your experience? I have never paid the sticker price for a car and am having a hard time swallowing this.
