Default 84 944

Hey, I'm in the process of purchasing a 1984 porsche 944. It's all original with only 39,000 miles on it, and it's in perfect running condition from what I can see. The price on the sticker was 6,500, but the guy is letting me get it for 5,000 cash. Does this sound like a good deal for such a car? Thanks in advance

Sounds like a good deal, but don't let the mileage lead you in to believing there won't be work that needs to be done. Check for recipets for a clutch (not due to wear, but due to age and the rubber centered disc that will fall apart as the rubber rots), and timing belt/waterpump. Also check for oil leaks....garage queens usually have leaky seals.
