I have a 1985 944 non turbo that i race on a dirt track.it is bone stock and while testing i bottomed out and broke the ac bracket.I just put on a short belt from the crank pulley to the alt. now the car wont run. do i need the ac wired and hooked up with the belt for my car to run??any advise will help.

Nope, ac has nothing to do with the car running. You can delete it all together with an AC delete bracket.
